Why am I doing the Mds? 

 

I first saw the Mds on television about 10 years ago and for some strange reason I wanted to do it.  Problem was, I couldn't run much further than the pub and back (assuming I was still sober!)  Also, I think I must be slighty deranged?!  

But joking apart, I am also raising money for Facing Africa.  If you find the pictures on the LHS a little disturbing then you'll know why I want to raise money to help the unfortunate kids that suffer from this awful disease.

The money I raise will help to fight the terrible plight of the hundreds of thousands of children suffering the hideous affliction of Noma. Noma (cancrum oris) which is an acute and ravaging gangrenous infection affecting the face. The victims of Noma are mainly young children caught in a vicious circle of extreme poverty and chronic malnutrition.
